In Tasmania talented and passionate producers grow, breed and harvest world-recognised produce from its unpolluted waters and rich, fertile soils. Therefore Tasmania has become a special food-lovers’ island paradise.
In this delicious book with this fresh seasonal produce at her fingertips, Karen Goodwin-Roberts, one of the island’s most passionate teacher chefs, shares her cooking experience with friends in some of Tasmania’s most enticing settings, celebrating four seasons with four fabulous feasts.
Steve Solomon, vegetable growing expert and author of the best selling book Growing Vegetables South of Australia, also provides growing, harvesting or storing tips.
Karen and Steve are convinced Tasmania’s distinct seasons allow for diverse quality produce and that we should know where our food comes from, how it is grown and harvested and this in the end contributes to us eating a healthy, seasonally sustainable, well-balanced diet.
